Originally, I believed this artwork to represent our first true Origin Story. However, at the end of 2023 I realized that Information would have come second! The very first thing that existed at the beginning of the Universe would have been Energy. I live and learn. The ideas in this painting remain true, but the eternal and healing formula is now  ♥ = E  (Love = Energy).

Why does this Painting have Historic and Roman Elements?

This artwork was originally begun to explore the identity of human consciousness. The idea of a tree was used to describe the advent of different life forms (although on this painting, the tree was omitted). At the base of the tree, is a stone block with the Roman numeral '1' inscribed upon it, which represents the first single quantum bit of Information, the beginning of all things. As a capital letter I, it also represents who we are ('I am'), Identity and Information Theory generally.

The painting was to resemble the art of the Renaissance, as that was (and still is) the new beginning of Science.
In my mind, this was a History Painting for all humanity, asserting the base truth of all things.

Why those Titles?

Leonardo Da Vinci painted 'The Last Supper', which is a reference to our biggest current (but mythical) origin story.
So this artwork, which I believed revealed the one true origin story is called 'The Last Painting'.

'The Return of Love' indicates that this artwork exists as a landmark signifying the last leg of the human journey, to recognize the nature of conscience. It is unsigned, as I considered it to be a painting by everyone, for all time.
